The Corporate Centre team lifted the Inter-Regional Lawn Tennis Tournament cup during the tournament organised by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Namit Mehta, IAS, District Collector & Magistrate, Udaipur, RK Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director, POWERGRID, and Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Projects), POWERGRID, presented the trophies to the winners.Â
The four-day event held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, brought together nine teams representing various regions of POWERGRID spread across the country, in a vibrant display of talent and sportsmanship, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to promoting fitness and wellness among employees.
The Corporate Centre team emerged as champions in the Team Championship category, with Northern Region-I and North-Eastern Region securing first and second runner-up positions respectively.
In the Open Doubles category, the pair of CMD RK Tyagi and VS Bhal, ED (CMG-CC) took the top spot, followed by D Hari Kishore, Chief Manager (PMD), and Parvinder Malik, Chief Manager (CS) (Corporate Centre) as the first runner-up, and Manish Lohani, Manager, RTAMC, and Devendra Singh Gaur, Jr Engineer (NR-I), as the second runner-up.
Special awards were presented to Tyagi as the Most Valuable Player, and Bhal as the Impact Player of the Tournament.
