Bajaj Auto has quietly pulled the plug on the Pulsar N150, removing the short-lived model from its official website. Launched in 2023 as a replacement for the Pulsar P150, the N150 failed to generate strong market interest in the competitive 150cc commuter motorcycle segment.
Sources suggest that the bike was discontinued due to poor demand and lacklustre sales, despite brand trust and new feature additions.
The Pulsar N150 was powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine that delivered 14 BHP and 13.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Despite its muscular street styling and Bajaj’s reputation in the commuter sport segment, the bike received a lukewarm response from buyers.
In 2024, Bajaj had updated the N150 with a digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity via the Bajaj Ride Connect app. It also came with telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, disc brakes, and single-channel ABS. However, the updates were not enough to revive its sales performance.
Bajaj has now shifted focus to the Pulsar N160, introducing a more accessible variant priced at Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This version features a single-seat layout, twin disc brakes, and a larger 164.82cc engine that produces 15.7 BHP and 14.65 Nm of torque. Positioned between the Pulsar NS160 and the Pulsar 150, the N160 aims to bridge the gap in Bajaj’s premium commuter lineup.
The discontinuation of the Pulsar N150 highlights how even a trusted brand like Bajaj must adapt quickly in a fiercely competitive segment where performance, pricing, and features drive consumer choice.
