Honda Cars India has announced price reductions across its line-up, passing on the benefits of the GST 2.0 reforms to customers. The new prices, effective from 22 September 2025, make some of its most popular models cheaper by up to Rs 95,500.
Major relief for Amaze buyers
Honda’s compact sedan, the Amaze, has seen the steepest revision. The second-generation model is now cheaper by up to Rs 72,800, while the newly launched third-generation Amaze receives a cut of up to Rs 95,500. The revision positions the Amaze more competitively in the entry-level sedan segment, a category that has been directly impacted by the new tax structure.
City and Elevate also see reductions
Beyond the Amaze, Honda’s midsize offerings have also become more affordable. The City, one of the company’s longest-running models in India, is now cheaper by up to Rs 57,500. The Elevate SUV, launched in 2023, has received a price cut of up to Rs 58,400. The reduction brings additional value for buyers in the competitive midsize SUV market.

GST 2.0 reshaping car prices
The GST Council, in its 56th meeting, reduced the tax on smaller passenger vehicles from 28 per cent to 18 per cent. Petrol, hybrid, LPG and CNG cars under 1,200 cc and diesel cars under 1,500 cc (all under four metres in length) are among the main beneficiaries. This reform is expected to drive affordability in compact and midsize categories while keeping larger cars and luxury models in the higher 40 per cent bracket.

Honda Amaze (2nd Gen) – Up to Rs 72,800
Honda Amaze (3rd Gen) – Up to Rs 95,500
Honda Elevate – Up to Rs 58,400
Honda City – Up to Rs 57,500
The revised prices will be effective nationwide from September 22,  2025.
