Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has announced a reduction in prices across several of its key consumer products, including Dove shampoo, Horlicks, Kissan Jam, and Lifebuoy soap, effective September 22.
According to the company’s advertisement in newspapers, a 340 ml bottle of Dove shampoo will now retail at Rs 435, down from Rs 490. A 200 gm jar of Horlicks will be priced at Rs 110, reduced from Rs 130, while a 200 gm jar of Kissan Jam will now cost Rs 80, down from Rs 90.

The popular pack of four 75 gm Lifebuoy soaps will also see a price drop to Rs 60 from Rs 68. HUL stated that new stock reflecting the revised maximum retail price (MRP) or increased grammage is gradually reaching the market.
However, concerns remain for consumers who buy products in sachets, as updating the price stickers on these small packs is challenging, and no official guidance for these has been issued yet.
