US President Donald Trump on Friday called for Microsoft Corp to terminate Lisa Monaco, the company’s global affairs president, who previously served in Democratic administrations.
On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Corrupt and Totally Trump Deranged Lisa Monaco (A purported pawn of Legal Lightweight Andrew Weissmann), was a senior National Security aide under Barrack Hussein Obama, and a Lawfare and Weaponisation obsessed Deputy Attorney General under Crooked Joe Biden and Lisa’s Puppet ‘Boss’ Attorney General Merrick Garland, who were all the architects of the worst ever Deep State Conspiracies against our Country (RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, the January 6th Hoax, the Illegal Raid on Mar-a-Lago, the Biden ‘Autopen’ Scandal, the Documents Witch Hunt, and more!).”
He added, “Monaco has been shockingly hired as the President of Global Affairs for Microsoft, in a very senior role with access to Highly Sensitive Information. Monaco’s having that kind of access is unacceptable, and cannot be allowed to stand.”

‘A menace to US national security’
Monaco previously served as a security aide in former President Barack Obama’s administration and as deputy attorney general under President Joe Biden. She joined Microsoft in July to lead global government engagement, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Trump said that in her Microsoft role, Monaco would have access to highly sensitive information, calling her “a menace to US national security,” particularly given the company’s major contracts with the US government.
Security clearance revoked and federal ban
Monaco’s security clearances were reportedly revoked in February. On Friday, Trump claimed that the US government also banned her from federal properties due to “Monaco’s many wrongful acts.”
Tech companies, including Microsoft, have tried to maintain ties with Trump during his second term. Several executives attended his inauguration, and some have met with him at the White House. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently joined a White House dinner with Trump and other tech leaders.
Trump and other Republicans have previously criticised major tech firms for alleged bias against conservatives.
