2025 has been a big year for a number of celebrity couples who decided to put a ring on it.
A number of engagements have captured the headlines this year as the famous lovebirds prepare to tie the knot.

Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks
Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, who is the ex-husband of American singer Miley Cyrus, proposed to his Australian model girlfriend, Gabriella Brooks
Brooks excitedly announced the news of the pair’s engagement on Instagram, showing off her stunning diamond ring presented to her by the actor.
She captioned the post with a simple white love heart emoji.

Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O’Connor
Joe Mangeniello proposed to his partner Caitlin O’Connor in June but kept it under wraps before sharing their happy news in October.
The American actor and Magic Mike star announced their engagement on Instagram underneath a picture of the pair and his little chihuahua as Caitlin showed off her ring.
Their engagement came almost two years after Manganiello’s divorce from Modern Family actress Sofía Vergara.
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner
After much speculation from fans, Dua Lipa confirmed she was engaged to her partner, Fantastic Beasts star Callum Turner in June.
”Yeah, we’re engaged,” the English and Albanian singer told Vogue, before revealing the actor had her ring specially made.
“This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
It will likely be a long engagement for the pair, with Lipa revealing they are in no rush to tie the knot due to their busy schedules.
Jason Segel and Kayla Radomski
After dating Kayla Radomski for two years, How I Met Your Mother star Jason Segel got down on one knee to propose to her.
“Forever yes,” Radomksi, a professional dancer, wrote as she shared the couple’s happy news to Instagram.
The engagement took place in a dreamy setting among the rose garden on The Huntington Library property in Pasadena, California, per Daily Mail.
“Best day of my life,” Radomski wrote in a follow up Instagram Story about her engagement.
Paulina Porizkova and Jeff Greenstein
Supermodel Paulina Porizkova announced her engagement back in July.
The 60-year-old, who was one of the top models in the ’80s, announced her engagement to TV writer Jeff Greenstein.
The Czech-born model shared a sweet video on her official Instagram account, showing her and Greenstein holding hands while driving as she flashes her stunning diamond ring.
Her caption was short and sweet, writing: “He asked.”
Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick
Back in April, Mick Jagger’s partner Melanie Hamrick confirmed their engagement after more than 10 years together and a 44-year age gap.
The former ballerina, 37, shared the happy news in an interview with France’s Paris Match, per People.
Hamrick, who is also an author and shares son Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger, eight, with The Rolling Stones rocker, 81, reportedly told the French publication the pair have been engaged for “two or three years”.
“Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything,” she added.
New celebrity couples: Stars go public with their romance
Candice King and Steven Krueger
Candice King and Steven Krueger, who starred as Caroline Forbes and Josh Rosza in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals respectively, announced their engagement back in May.
King confirmed the news online on Wednesday, writing on an Instagram post: “I think 38 just might be my favorite year yet.
“A couple of weeks ago @stevenakrueger gave me the best gift of all when he asked me to marry him. The privilege of getting older is much sweeter knowing I get to share it with you Steven.
“Thank you for asking me to dance through life with you. And thank you to everyone for the kind birthday wishes x (Special shout out to @catherinepowell for 📸 snapping these sweet pics at our fave.”
She wore a bridal-style corset dress for the occasion, while he looked suave in a blazer and white shirt.
Lainey Wilson and Devlin Hodges
American country music star Lainey Wilson became engaged to former football quarterback Devlin Hodges, announcing the news in February.
The smitten pair announced the happy news in a joint Instagram post after Hodges appeared to propose outside their home, presenting the hitmaker with a giant diamond ring.
Referencing one of her hit songs, she captioned the post: “4x4xU forever ❤️.”
Hodges proposed out the front of their house with candles, pictures of the pair together and red roses set up.
Montana Jordan and Jenna Weeks
This one’s for the Young Sheldon fans.
Montana Jordan, who stars in the popular sitcom spin-off, popped the question to his partner Jenna Weeks after dropping down to one knee during a lavish outdoor proposal.
Jordan called his bride-tobe the ”light of his life” as he shared the news with fans in January. The news came after the pair welcomed their first child together last year.
“You are the light of my life, Sweetheart. I love you to the moon and back a million times and more. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us and our family,” he wrote in a post to Instagram announcing the happy news.
Months later, the pair tied the knot in a “classic cowboy” themed wedding on Saturday 21 June in Texas.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez
Cristiano Ronaldo proposed to his partner of eight years Georgina Rodriguez, leaving countless fans shocked.
But they weren’t shocked necessarily by the engagement news but by diamond he chose to propse with.
Rodriguez, 31, posted a snap of herself wearing what can only be described as a massive diamond rock on her finger, as they announced their happy news to the world.
“Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,” she captioned the post.
The engagement ring features an oval shaped diamond, which is truly humungous.
Brisbane-based jewellery designer Nick Ireland spoke to 9honey in the wake of the news, estimating the ring is around “30 carats in size” and would be worth “around $5 million”.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
And of course, how can we forget the engagement of the century?
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce brought the world of celebrity and pop culture to a stand-still when they casually dropped the news of their engagement to Instagram on a Wednesday in August.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift captioned the post, which featured five photos from the romantic proposal in Kelce’s backyard.
Kelce proposed with a show-stopping sparkler from Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewellery in New York City.
The antique-look ring features an old mine brilliant cut diamond, a hand cut stone made popular before the advent of modern diamond-cutting techniques.
Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Pip Loth
Aussie star Natalie Bassingthwaighte has been lapping up the bliss after popping the question to her partner Pip Loth.
The actress and singer, 50, posted a video to Instagram revealing the proposal, which took place at Niagara Falls in Canada.
To propose to Loth, Bassingthwaighte enlisted the help of a poet. As they stood in front of the famous falls, the poet handed the couple a poem about their love story.
Moments later, Bassingthwaighte pulled out a ring box and presented it to Loth, before getting on her knees.
The couple recently shared the exciting news with the world, posting a video of the proposal to Instagram but beforehand they took some time to bask in the excitement with those closest to them.
“Pip has changed my life in so many beautiful ways,” Bassingthwaighte told nine.com.au of her partner in the days after announcing their engagement.
