‘Solo concert someday?’ BTS’ Jungkook’s statement on live stream causes fan uproar | Bollywood Life

On November 3, BTS’s Jungkook opened up about his thoughts on holding a solo concert during a nearly six-hour live broadcast on fan community Weverse on November 3 KST. The live broadcast was titled Hello, This Is Ian.

BTS’ maknae Jeon Jungkook has been busy preparing for the group comeback since he came back from military service, but now that they have finished recording, Jungkook had a 6-hour live broadcast on the fan community platform Weverse where engaged in games, impromptu live singing, watching YouTube videos together, and even a mukbang, connecting with over 11.1 million viewers in real time. However, when a live commercial for J-Hope’s solo concert appeared, the mood shifted.

Jungkook thoughts on having a solo concert

Jungkook voiced out after seeing J-Hope’s solo concert commercial, “I’ll be able to do a solo concert someday, too, right?” before letting out a deep sigh. Jungkook had a solo concert called GOLDEN Live On Stage on November 20, 2023. SUGA, J-Hope, and Jin are the only BTS members who have been on solo concert tours. Other members have released solo music and performed at various events, but have not yet had a full solo tour.

Fans’ reaction to Jungkook’s statement

Jungkook’s one statement instantly caused an uproar in the global fandom. Real-time reactions began pouring in, with many criticising the agency. Fans commented on the live “I’d go even if it were tomorrow,” “We’re always ready,” and “How can the company not realize how many fans are waiting for Jungkook’s solo concert?”
One fan criticised HYBE on X, “It’s a shame, a tragedy even, that an artist like Jeon Jungkook, whose very existence was meant to set stages ablaze across the world, has been reduced to wishing for a solo tour. This is the cruel irony of HYBE’s so called strategy, to chain one of Korea’s greatest global talents instead of letting him soar. A voice that could fill stadiums is silenced by corporate restraint, a performer born for freedom confined to corporate timelines and self serving agendas. Jungkook should be commanding world tours, not waiting for permission to live his own artistry. And yet, under the weight of this system, his brilliance is both his power and his prison, proof of how far genius can still be caged when profit speaks louder than passion.”

Another fan added, “We stand with Jungkook — the man who’s given his all for music, for the group, and for us. He’s sacrificed dreams, skipped huge opportunities, and carried more than anyone will ever know — yet never once complained. NOW HE SIMPLY DREAMS OF HIS OWN SOLO WORLD TOUR, and WE’LL KEEP STANDING BEHIND HIM UNTIL THAT DREAM BECOMES REALITY. Jungkook deserves to take the stage for himself, under his own name, singing the songs he poured his soul into — for the millions who love him for who he truly is. He’s earned this moment. He’s more than ready. JUNGKOOK SOLO WORLD TOUR WE SUPPORT YOUR DREAMS”

A fan said how Jungkook only talks about these things if he means it, “My honest opinion — when Jungkook said he wants and wishes to have his own solo world tour, that wasn’t just a random thought.
We all Know him, he wouldn’t say it unless he truly meant it and felt ready for that next step.
Jungkook never speaks carelessly — when he expresses something that big in front of millions watching on Weverse Live, it means he’s envisioning it, preparing for it, and one day it will happen.
And when that time finally comes, you can bet we’ll be right there — ready, proud, and giving him our full support every step of the way.
JUNGKOOK SOLO WORLD TOUR”

Meanwhile, Jungkook enlisted in the military in December 2023 and was discharged in June of this year. Since then, he has focused on preparing for group activities rather than solo activities. He recently appeared as a guest with J-Hope at Jin’s encore concert, showcasing his live performances.
