Bad Bunny Earns Nominations in Top 3 GRAMMY Categories (Plus All the Nominees)

Puerto Rican trailblazer and global superstar Bad Bunny is making history after being nominated for Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year – the three most prestigious GRAMMY categories.

He’s the first Spanish-language artist to receive such recognition, all in the same year. (“Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee held the previous record, with two nominations in the major categories back in 2018.)

And that’s not all. Bad Bunny is also nominated for Best Global Music Performance, Best Música Urbana Album and Best Album Cover, a newly added category.

Also making history this year is HUNTR/X, the fictional band from Netflix sensation KPop Demon Hunters. The group, made up of EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, is nominated for Song of the Year for “Golden”, which was co-written by EJAE. Along with BLACKPINK’s Rosé who is nominated for “APT”, they are the first K-pop artists to score nods in the Song of the Year category, ever.

Meanwhile, it’s Kendrick Lamar who tops the 2026 GRAMMYs list, He’ll be going into the evening with 9 nominations, followed by Lady Gaga, Cirkut and Jack Antanoff who each have 7, and Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Leon Thomas and Serban Ghenea with 6.

Why isn’t Taylor Swift nominated for a GRAMMY this year, you may be wondering? Well, according to the Recording Academy, the eligibility period includes recordings released between August 31, 2024 and August 30, 2025. Taylor’s The Life of a Showgirl was released on October 3, 2025. So that’s that.
