Today (August 21), the Centre has approved GoMs’ proposal on rate rationalisation, insurance taxation, and compensation cess. The government has given a green signal to the GST revamp plan with slabs of 5 per cent, 18 per cent, and 40 per cent, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said on Wednesday.
Currently, the GST is levied at 5, 12, 18, and 28 per cent. Source: PTI
