HUL Q2 Results Preview: Street eyes earnings and dividend decision – Check out key expectations

HUL Q2 Results Preview: The earnings season is in full swing as major companies have begun announcing their second-quarter results. FMCG giant Hindustan Unilever (HUL) is among the key companies set to declare its Q2 FY26 numbers. The FMCG major will also consider dividend for its shareholders.

Board meeting and dividend announcement

HUL has informed the NSE and BSE that its Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, October 23, 2025, to consider and approve the unaudited financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2025.

Alongside the results, the board will also deliberate on the payment of an interim dividend, if any, according to the company filing.

In its filing, HUL said, “…this is to inform that a meeting of the Board of Directors (‘Board Meeting’) of the Company will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, inter alia, to consider: – the Unaudited Standalone and Consolidated Financial Results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2025 along with the Limited Review Report of the Auditors for the corresponding period…”

HUL Q2 Results FY 2025-2026 earnings preview

The Zee Business Research Team expects HUL’s Q2 FY26 consolidated performance to be muted. Revenue is projected at Rs 15,800 crore, down 0.8 per cent from Rs 15,926 crore a year ago. EBITDA may decline 6.2 per cent to Rs 3,558 crore, with margins slipping to 22.5 per cent from 23.8 per cent. PAT is estimated at Rs 2,520 crore, down 2.7 per cent YoY.

Key factors to watch

Analysts expect subdued growth due to low domestic volume growth of around 2.5 per cent, limited price growth of 1–3 per cent, and the effect of a GST cut on 40 per cent of HUL’s portfolio. The ongoing GST transition is likely to weigh on quarterly numbers. Gross profit margins may decline by 90–130 basis points, while volatile palm oil prices and price cuts in the Tea and Home Care segments could further impact profitability.

HUL share price

At around 11AM, HUL shares are trading at Rs 2,517.50, down Rs 1.50 (0.06 per cent) on NSE. The stock opened at Rs 2,517.80, touched a high of Rs 2,529.90 and a low of Rs 2,515.00. Its market capitalization stands at Rs 5.91 lakh crore. The 52-week high and low are Rs 2,797.55 and Rs 2,136.00 respectively. On a trend basis, the stock is down 2.4 per cent in one month, up 6 per cent in six months, and has gained 8.5 per cent year-to-date.
