US President Donald Trump has once again taken to social network Truth Social to make a big announcement. According to his latest post on the platform, Israel and Hamas are ready for the first phase of the peace proposal, with the release of hostages set to commence soon.
The 47th US president is due to speak on the development shortly in a press conference.
‘Very proud to announce…’: Trump
The American president wrote: “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan. This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace.”
‘All Parties will be treated fairly!’ Trump
Trump also wrote that this is a “GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America, and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this Historic and Unprecedented Event happen. BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!”

What does the first phase of Trump’s peace plan entail?
According to foreign media, in the first phase, Israel will begin pulling back its troops to an agreed area while Hamas and Israel carry out a coordinated exchange of hostages held in Gaza.Â
Also, this stage reportedly includes a halt in fighting, meant to create space for the first real steps towards lasting peace between the two sides.
