HUNTR/X, the fictional band from Netflix sensation KPop Demon Hunters, has made GRAMMY history after earning a very real nomination for Song of the Year!
The group, made up of EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, is nominated for “Golden”, which was co-written by EJAE and Mark Sonnenblick. Along with BLACKPINK’s Rosé who is nominated for “APT”, they are the first K-pop artists to score nods in the Song of the Year category, ever.
HUNTR/X is also up, up, up (see what I did there?) for Best Pop Group Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media and Best Compilation Soundtrack. A David Guetta version of the song is also nominated for Best Remixed Recording.
Reacting to the news on social media, REI AMI wrote, “I am so so so honoured to walk this journey with you all.”
Rosé landed three nominations in total and is also up for Record of the Year and Best pop Duo/Group performance for her collab with Bruno Mars.
Meanwhile, it’s Kendrick Lamar who tops the GRAMMY list this year, He’ll be going into the evening with 9 nominations, followed by Lady Gaga, Cirkut and Jack Antanoff who each have 7, and Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Leon Thomas and Serban Ghenea with 6.
Why isn’t Taylor Swift nominated for a GRAMMY this year, you may be wondering? Well, according to the Recording Academy, the eligibility period includes recordings released between August 31, 2024 and August 30, 2025. Taylor’s The Life of a Showgirl was released on October 3, 2025. So that’s that.
