LIC launches special revival campaign for lapsed policies with up to 30% concession on late fees

LIC launches special revival campaign for lapsed policies with up to 30% concession on late fees

The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced a Special Revival Campaign for individual lapsed policies, running from August 18 to October 17, 2025. This campaign offers policyholders an excellent opportunity to revive their non-linked insurance plans with attractive concessions.

As part of the scheme, LIC is offering up to 30 per cent concession on late fees, with a maximum amount of Rs 5,000, for eligible policies. The initiative aims to help policyholders restore their coverage while easing their financial burden.

Who will benefit the most?

  • Policyholders whose policies lapsed a few years ago.
  • Those who were unable to reactivate their policies due to high late fees.
  • Individuals concerned about future security and savings who now wish to restart their policies.

Why has LIC launched this offer?

LIC believes that many customers lose their policies simply because they are unable to pay premiums on time. In such cases, neither do customers receive the benefits, nor is LIC able to maintain customer trust. Through this revival offer, LIC aims to encourage more people to reactivate their policies and regain the benefits of insurance.

Message to customers

LIC has urged its policyholders to make the most of this limited-time opportunity. The company has emphasised that the campaign will run only for two months. If missed, policyholders will have to pay the full late fee for revival later.
