The early days
According to reports, Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO met back in 2015 at one of his concerts, but she was in a relationship at the time.
She’s always been his biggest supporter, both emotionally and financially.
The rapper, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, once said on King and the Sting and the Wing audio show: “I was ass broke when I met her.”
“They split, and I’m not going to act like I shot my shot. She kind of shot hers.”
“She’s my best friend, she supported me and she helped me get my music career really up and going, going.
“She helped me like, financially … people always look at her like, ‘she’s a golddigger’ … I was dead broke around her.”
He joked: “It’s a white trash love story. We got married kind of randomly.”
Jelly Roll’s background
Jelly Roll was previously jailed in the US aged 14 and later at 23, for various drug and robbery-related charges respectively.
He recently made headlines for claiming he was treated ‘like a criminal’ at Louis Vuitton Sydney store while Down Under for his tour and wanting to do some designer shopping.
“Hey man, the Louis Vuitton in Sydney, legitimately just treated us like we were finna (sic) come in and rob that place,” he claimed in an Instagram Story.
“Listen, the last time I was looked at like a criminal this bad… I was an actual criminal this bad.”
The cheating admission
It seems the musician and his wife Bunnie XO went through a rough patch with their relationship.
Jelly Roll, who has two children from previous relationships, opened up about cheating on Bunnie on the Human School Podcast last month, explaining how they eventually worked through it.
“I don’t talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he said.
“Because it was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman.’ It just really, really, really blew me back.
“I did a lot of work to repair that relationship … we’re stronger than we could have ever been.

Bunnie once said in a TikTok video that the couple broke up in 2018, but didn’t mention the exact reason or the affair.
Future family plans
Bunnie has reportedly said on her Dumb Blonde podcast that they’re trying to have children together and are doing IVF.
“I’m like, do you guys not know for the past six months I’ve been trying to make a baby?” she said.
“But I literally have been on IVF meds for f–king six months and going through heartbreak and f–king so much s–t.”
Meanwhile, Jelly Roll has been on a health kick and has reportedly shed 90kg in recent months.
Public declarations of love
In 2021, on her public Instagram account, Bunnie shared a touching and lengthy tribute to her partner.
After they bought a house together in Nashville, she wrote=: “We went thru hell together to get to where we are & im so proud of us! We never gave up, even when everyone doubted us.”
“The world was on fire around us & we stood in the flames. Not bad for a crack dealer from Antioch & a call girl from Vegas. 😭😭😭”
