PM Modi to flag off Gorakhpur-Patna Vande Bharat Express today; fare, time table and other key details to know

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start his visit Bihar’s Siwan today, June 20, where he will inaugurate the new Vaishali-Deoria railway line project worth over Rs 400 crore and flag off a new train service on this route. 

The PM will also flag off the Vande Bharat Express between Patliputra and Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur and Bettiah. Gorakpur-Patna Vande Bharat Express is the second Vande Bharat Express launched for Gorakhpur.

Gorakhpur-Patna Vande Bharat Express time table

Regular operation of train number 26502/26501 Gorakhpur–Patliputra–Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express will start from 22 June 2025. This Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week except every Saturday.

The Vande Bharat Express (train number 26502) running between Patna and Gorakhpur will leave Gorakhpur at 05:40 AM and reach Patna (Patliputra) at 12:45 PM. On the return journey, this train will leave at 3.30 PM and reach Gorakhpur at 10.30 PM.

On the way from Gorakhpur to Patna (Pataliputra), this train will stop at Kaptanganj, Paniyhawa, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Sagauli, Bapudham Motihari, Muzaffarpur and Hajipur. 

Vande Bharat Express Fare

In line with his commitment to conserving and rejuvenating the river Ganga, PM Modi will also inaugurate six Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) under the Namami Gange project, worth over Rs 1,800 crore.

As per the release, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for water supply, sanitation and STPs worth over Rs 3000 crore in various towns across Bihar.
