Reality Star Reacts After Singer Denies Fathering Her Child
The Traitors star cancelled her appearance at a high-profile event over the weekend, pulling out of attending the Mariposa Ball and Awards in London at the last minute after singer Conor Maynard’s bombshell statement claiming he is not the father of her child.
“Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton’s baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative,” Maynard claimed in a message shared to his 2.9 million Instagram followers on Saturday.

“Today I’ve received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope’s father,” Maynard’s statement continued.
“I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end. All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten.
“I wish Charlotte and her family all the best,” Maynard concluded, signing off his message with his first name.
Chilton, 32, has not publicly responded to Maynard’s claims.
In addition to skipping her planned public appearance over the weekend, she has also limited the ability for other users to comment on her social media posts.
The reality star had met the 32-year-old Can’t Say No singer through his 22-year-old sister Anna Maynard’s boyfriend, 24-year-old Harry Clark, who starred alongside Chilton on the second season of the British version of the cult series.
Chilton previously alleged she and Maynard had a one-night-stand after meeting at a wrap party for The Traitors, telling the Metro in 2024: “I very nearly didn’t go at all [to the wrap party] because I didn’t even know who Conor Maynard is. Harry [Clark] was putting on the pressure.”
“Conor was next to me all night pursuing me. I was rude as hell to him for hours, which apparently was the thing he liked,” she continued.
Chilton said she had just come out of a “toxic relationship” and had been vulnerable to “someone being nice to me”.
In April, Chilton announced her “miracle” pregnancy after suffering seven miscarriages and multiple rounds of unsuccessful fertility treatment.
By May, Chilton revealed she was preparing to become a single mother as she had recently split from her estranged wife Laura Chilton, 33, and in June, she alleged Maynard was the father of her unborn child for the first time.
“I’ve really toyed with whether this is the right thing to do or not. I’ve sort of hidden a lot of things in the protection of somebody else through this process,” Chilton said in an Instagram video at the time
“I decided that the best thing is to always be open and honest. Essentially I have not named the father in protection of him,” she continued in the video.
“I’m prepared to do this alone, but I’m not prepared to have my daughter have to grow up and not be able to say who her father is, or should I say, birth father, or hide it from her.
“She deserves to know where she comes from. I’m not a secret, she’s not a dirty secret. I won’t be silenced.”

In July, Chilton appeared on Loose Women, claiming on the chat show Maynard was “ghosting” her.
Months later, in October, Chilton confirmed the arrival of her daughter, Penelope.
She wrote on Instagram: “Princess Penelope has arrived and we have been enjoying our ‘Penelope bubble’ so much, I am going to be off the radar for a little longer, whilst I enjoy these magical moments with my precious girl!!”
Neither Chilton nor Maynard have commented publicly on the situation since Maynard released his statement regarding the alleged paternity test results.
