RailTel Share Price: Shares of a Navratna PSU, RailTel Corporation of India, advanced by 4 per cent on Thursday, August 21, 2025, after the company announced two new contracts.
On Thursday, the PSU stock jumped as much as 4.06 per cent, hitting an intraday high of Rs 373.80 apiece on the BSE data.
At the last count (12:18 pm), the stock was trading almost 2 per cent higher at Rs 366.20, according to the exchange.
Details of new orders
RailTel informed the exchanges that it secured a Rs 35-crore contract from the Kerala State Information Technology Mission for operations and maintenance of its State Data Centre (SDC) project.
Moreover, the company won a separate order worth Rs 15.4 crore from the Higher Education Department of the Odisha government.
Recent contract wins
Earlier this month, the company announced an Rs 18.6-crore deal from the Airports Authority of India to provide MPLS-VPN services across airports and offices.
On August 1, RailTel bagged a large advance work order of Rs 1,663.8 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for telecom services.
In July, the company also secured a contract worth over Rs 264 crore from East Central Railway.
This project involves deploying Kavach, the indigenous Train Collision Avoidance System, across 607 route kilometres of low-density railway tracks. The work is scheduled to be completed by July 14, 2027.
