The device we received is black in color with green Xbox accents on it. In the box, there is a remote with backlit buttons, a USB Type-C cable, and a variety of power cables.

Contrary to my expectations, the projector is large, but not overly heavy. I picked it up myself and placed it on the table. It weighs approximately 3.68 kg. Its body is made of plastic. The front houses a partially protected lens and an IR sensor. Due to the absence of a lens cover, it is easy for dust to accumulate on the lens.

Moving upwards is a sliding door that hides the focus/zoom ring and a keypad that includes projector controls. It also has an LED indicator on the top. There are four rubber feet on the bottom and a wide, adjustable foot in the middle that can be used to raise the projector slightly.

The device comes with a Bluetooth backlit remote. It is quite basic and has very few buttons like: power on/off, volume controller, home button, and others, which help in changing modes or navigating the projector.

ViewSonic X1-4K Pro Projector Review: Performance
In terms of performance, the ViewSonic X1-4K Pro will impress you as it is excellent in both gaming and watching content. When watching movies or TV shows, we would switch to the Movie Color mode, which provided good contrast, color, and an overall smooth image. The audio aspect of the projector is also quite impressive. From both sides, it delivers excellent sound. It’s sufficient for a medium-sized living room and delivers good bass. When placed centrally in front of you, you’ll also get an immersive experience.
The projector also performs very well in terms of heat management. We never heard any fan noise during extended use.

To sum up, here are a few things that we feel could have been better:
- The projector lacks a lens cover, making it prone to dust accumulation, which could affect image quality over time.
- With just 8GB of internal storage (4GB available storage), the projector falls short for users who may want to store media or apps locally.
- While the Bluetooth backlit remote is functional, it offers very few buttons, limiting quick access to key features and advanced settings.
